missions

As fully devoted followers of Christ, missions isn't just something we do, it is who we are... it is a lifestyle. At Prairie Ridge, we build relationships by impacting people, serve others by committing our time, and transform lives by showing God's love.

At The Ridge we strive to have a simple focus for missions.
1) Build relationships with great ministry partners in our community and around the world.  2) Invest deeply in a handful of these minsitries so we can make a significant difference with them instead of spreading ourselves thin. 3) Give our church family opportunites to be invovled in life-altering experiences of serving alongside our mission partners.

OUR PARTNERSHIPS:

Local: Each year we work with various local agencies to assist families in need in the Des Moines area.  Through food drives for local food pantries, and a special project each Christmas that provides christmas gifts to local Ankeny families that are in need, we are excited to engage in serving our local community. 

National: The Ridge is building long term relationships with the people of the Navajo Indian reservation in Arizona/New Mexico. The Navajo reservation is a place where we can help provide both basic needs (food, shelter, etc) and spiritual needs.  Through patnerships with local churches and organizations we look forward to how God will use us alongside of the Navajo people.

International: Currently we have international partnerships in Brazil and Honduras.  In each country we have partnered with a Children's home that provides basic care and spiritual guidance to the children that live there in addition to helping some of the children of the local commiunity through daily feeding programs. We take yearly trips to each children's home to assist them in their mission.
